English learning is based on projects, activities, tasks and topics designed to give students confidence in speaking English. Lessons take place at the hotel, in 4 spacious and airy classrooms which are fully equipped with boards, tables, chairs as well as lecture chairs. A huge air-conditioned assembly hall complete with stage is also used for multipurpose activities (testing, quiz games and talent shows). Students are tested and placed in the class which is best suited to their level of English. Classes are multi-national therefore the camp provides an ideal environment to practise English at all times.
The leisure programme on the other hand includes water sports, quiz nights, beach games, karaoke evenings, boat trips and sightseeing tours to Mdina, Valletta, the sister islands of Gozo and Comino and other places of interest. Optional activities, such a Scuba Diving, are also offered at an extra cost. During lessons, students have pre-excursion tasks which help them make the most of their leisure activities. Again the multi-national element ensures that students interact with students from different countries and practise their English. Students are not permitted to leave the hotel unless they are on an organised excursion, with their group leader or with another member of the IH staff.
