The first INTERNATIONAL HOUSE school was founded in Cordoba, Spain, in 1953 by John and Brita Haycraft. This developed into a network of language schools worldwide that form part of the INTERNATIONAL HOUSE WORLD ORGANISATION (IHWO). IHWO is committed to implementing high standards of quality courses and is renowned for their innovative methods in education and training. There are currently over 140 schools in more than 50 countries.
INTERNATIONAL HOUSE Study Abroad Schools, offer students an opportunity to learn a language in the country of origin. It also gives the opportunity to learn about the culture of the country and its advantages.
IH Study Abroad Schools teach 16 languages - in over 50 schools- in 33 countries. Courses are taught mainly in ‘mother tongue’ countries by native speaker tutors.
