The school is situated in the west of the island, in an area called Birbuba which is mostly open country, offering beautiful vistas and traditional country living. It is a short walk to the cliffs where one can have a fantastic view of the Mediterranean and realise that you are standing at a maritime crossroads with, on one side, Europe and and on the other, the vast continent of Africa.

The tourist coming to Gozo is offered quality hospitality; accommodation ranges from 5-star hotels to family-owned apartments. In common with the rest of the island, IH Malta - Gozo caters for the discerning customer who wants an affordable, unpolluted, peaceful environment where relaxation is easy and the sun shines most of the time.

Gozo is not just sun, sand and sea. There are many things to interest every visitor: from archeological (the world's oldest free-standing building is on Gozo! - in our neolithic temples) to architectural (the church in Xewkeja has the world's third-largest unsupported dome) and from historical (the Apostle Paul stayed here for many months on his way to Rome) to mythical (the island is believed to be where the nymph Calypso captivated Odysseus). You can see the unique Festas and fireworks and the picturesque fishing villages with their gaily-painted traditional fishing boats.

All this, and much more, provides a fascinating backdrop to the IH Malta - Gozo learning experience. We know that we are getting it right because so many of our clients return to what the ancients called "The Isle of Love and Honey".
